Why we built
Mentu.
Independent educators in Nigeria and across Africa were fighting a losing battle. They had brilliant teaching talent, dedicated students, and serious courses to offer but they were stitching together five different tools just to run a single class.
WhatsApp for scheduling, Google Meet for video, Google Forms for assignments, manual Excel sheets for grades, and personal YouTube uploads done at midnight after class. Every week. For every student. Alone.
"What if one platform remembered everything so teachers could just teach?"
That question became Mentu. Not just another video conferencing tool, but a true Learning Operating System that captures, organizes, and amplifies every classroom moment into lasting educational value.
We started with the conviction that the best teachers deserve the best tools and that good tools should be priced fairly for educators building independent businesses, not just enterprise clients.
